All of this makes for such fertile soil to sow into.
Our topic was healthy relationships and we stressed how unhealthy people do not have healthy relationships. We challenged the students to use this season of life to process any issues in their hearts that might hinder them from having a healthy marriage in the future. Some to the key points we covered were:
Your past does not have to define your future.
The health of your parents marriage does not dictate what your marriage will be.
When you choose to get healthy, everyone in your life wins!
If you want to marry a prince, (princess) you need to be a princess, (prince).
Embrace the current season of life you are in to the fullest.
I sure wish someone had told me this when I was in college. It wasn't until years after college that I processes the "junk" in my heart. I'm thankful that I eventually got it done, but each year I waited was another year that I carried around unnecessary baggage.
So how about you? How would you rate your "heart health"? Do you have some "junk" that needs unpacked? The good news is, if you do have some unpacking to do, it is so doable. Find a place to process the issues of your heart. (If you need some help finding a place, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will give you some direction. As I said above, when you do, everyone in your life wins, especially you! You are worth it my friend!
